West Wales Virtual Road Relays: 17th December - 17th January

This week, entries for the West Wales Virtual Road Relays have gone live and gives the opportunity for club athletes to take part in a virtual event which is also being run across the other regions in Wales too - South, East and North this month. Read below for the information and important details on when entries close and the time frame to complete runs.


Thursday 17th December - Sunday 17th January / Dydd Iau 17eg Rhagfyr - Dydd Sul 17eg Ionawr


U11B & U11G - 1 Mile - no team scoring, School years 4 & 5, some year 6

U13B & U13G - 2km - first 4 to score - School years 7 & 8, some year 6

U15B & U15G - 3km - first 3 to score - School years 9 & 10

U17M & U17W - 3km - first 3 to score - School years 11 & 12

U20M, U20W, Senior Men & Senior Women - 5km - first 4 to score

Masters 35-40 M & W, 45-50, 55+ - 5km - first 4 to score


Entries only open to fully paid-up members of a Club affiliated to Welsh Athletics.

You must be eligible to run for WEST WALES region;

BIRTH:- If born in West Wales (Dyfed or West Glamorgan)

RESIDENCE:- continuously in West Wales since Aug 1st 2019

There is no limit to the number of teams per club, this is automatically calculated based on the number of athletes from each club who submit times. Times are submitted by the individuals so no team managers required.

The closing date for entries is midday (12:00) on Wednesday 16th December. Downhill courses are not permitted.

Runners must complete the course solo, or if with others, social distancing must be observed at all times.

Runners must ensure that their runs are made public to allow for result scrutiny.

Teams must be all male or female.


Individual runners should upload their Strava or Garmin performance between 00:01 on Thursday 17th December and 23:59 on Sunday 17th January.
