Actif Carmarthenshire Virtual Sport Awards - Celebration of Previous Winners

With little or no sport played for the majority of the 2020/21 season due to COVID-19, last week, Actif Sport and Leisure held a virtual Actif Carmarthenshire Sport Awards, with the focus on previous winners from each category since 2013.

Their achievements were showcased in a video which premiered on Actif's social media platforms over five evenings between 8-12 March 2021.

Each year the prestigious annual Actif Carmarthenshire Sports Awards held at the Ffwrnes Theatre in Llanelli gives the opportunity to recognise and celebrate sporting talent that we have here in Carmarthenshire from sportsmen and women, dedicated coaches, committed volunteers, all of which make sport happen right here in the county.

The awards recognise and reward those people who have made a positive difference and shown outstanding achievements in their field whether it be as a coach, volunteer or sport team in disabled, non-disabled, professional and amateur sport.

Actif Carmarthenshire Sport Awards has hosted 22 successful Sports Awards, celebrating, and acknowledging over 1,500 individuals and teams across the district.

The categories which were featured were:

- Young Sportsman of the Year,

- Young Sportswoman of the Year

- Team of the Year

- Club of the Year

- Young Team of the Year

- High Performance Coach of the Year

- Community Coach of the Year
