Information and Application Form online ahead of the club's 2017 Annual Dinner & Awards Evening on Friday 3rd November. Make sure you get your forms in now before the 25th October!

The price of the dinner is £18 (£15 under 15) and we ask that all the members and friends of the club make every effort to attend, as it is the only event in the year where we can all meet to celebrate the successes of the club and its members during the year.

The dinner will include a copy each of the 2016/17 Annual Report to all members (which will have all the year's successes/reports inside)

Guest Speaker / Siaradwr Gwadd

The guest speaker this year is Dewi Griffiths. Dewi's outstanding achievements to date (still only 26 years of age): Dewi is one of us as he trains regularly at our track in Carmarthen!

17 GB Vests; 55 Welsh vests; Winner of 40 Welsh championships, Winner of 2 UK inter county cross country championships (under 15 and senior)

Griffiths has had a busy last month. He was the winner of the Cardiff 10K on September 3rd, and this was followed up with an excellent 7th position at the Great North Run a week later up the North East. He helped his Swansea Harriers team to gold at the Welsh Road Relay before securing personal bests at the Admiral Swansea Bay 10K and Cardiff Half Marathon in the space of two Sundays.

Car Parking Arrangements / Gwybodaeth Maes Parcio

CCTV is used 24 hours around the hotel car park, and all cars parked in the car park during the evening MUST register your car registration number on arrival using the touch screen computer. This can either be done at the reception which is located on the left side as you enter the building or at the bar counter, which will be open all evening to purchase drinks. Please enter as a DAY GUEST before entering details. There will be assistance for anyone that requires it.

This has to be done because other vehicles in the past have parked, but not visiting the hotel. Failure to do this could result in a fine being sent to you, so do it straight away!

  • Ivy Bush Hotel Main Car Park - this holds around 70 cars and will become full quickly, taking into account that other users and visitors will also park their cars here, so best arrive early. Parking is free. The information above only applies to this car park.

Once the above is full, there are further overflow car parks available at two locations on and just off the main road (Spilman Street) both a short walk away.

  • St Peter's Car Park SA31 1LN - free after 6.00pm
  • Spilman Street / County Council Car Parks SA31 9SA


On Arrival / Cyrraedd

The room will be open from 6.45pm (no earlier until set up has finished). The evening will start at 7.30pm prompt. Outside the room will be a board showing names and table numbers, which will also be on the tables itself.


Raffle / Raffl

Once the presentations have been completed, a raffle will be held. You will be able to purchase tickets at a £1 per slip at the door as you arrive and just before the start in the room.

RAFFLE PRIZES - we are looking for prizes for the raffle. If anyone is able to give any prizes then could you hand them to us on Tuesday night training (Oct 31st) or on the evening. many thanks.

For those that are unable to attend, or those who will be making use of the free wifi at the Ivy Bush at the event, make sure that you visit and follow the Harriers website, Facebook and Twitter pages all evening. Here there will be LIVE up-to-date news, updates and images of the dinner and awards from 6.00pm. If you have anything / picture that you would like to add to the facebook page, then please do so by posting in the visitor posts that all our followers can read and see! Report will also be sent to the Journal and Herald Newspapers.


The application form for places at the dinner to be returned to the dinner organiser, Rhian Glynn as soon as possible and no later than Wednesday 25 October 2017.
