We are pleased to confirm that Pembrey Country Park, described by many Gwent League runners last March as the best venue of the year, will host two big competitions by the end of 2017.

Mae digwyddiadau rhedeg yn dod nol i Barc Pembrey ar ol digwyddiad llwyddiannus mis Mawrth dwethaf.

The events will be supported and hosted by Carmarthen & District Harriers Athletic Club in conjunction with Carmarthenshire County Council and Welsh Athletics. The park situated near Llanelli provides a stunning backdrop for the event which has utilised several venues in recent years.

Following the big success at the Gwent League Cross Country last March when it made its debut in Pembrey, we are looking forward to welcoming once again the best cross country and road runners from across Wales and beyond this winter to West Wales!

More information will become available for both dates as they get closer.

What we are bringing over to Pembrey very soon:

SATURDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER: Welsh Road Relay Championships (U11-13-15-17-20-seniors-masters)

SATURDAY/SUNDAY 2/3 DECEMBER: Gwent League Cross Country League fixture 3 (U11-13-15-17-20-seniors-masters)

The Road Relay Championships, that has been to Llandow and Pontypridd over the last few years, have moved from their usual position in March because of a particularly congested Sprint calendar in 2017. The races can now act as a preparation for clubs that will be contesting the British Road Relay Championships (formerly ERRA National Road Relay Championships) in early October.

The Gwent League, which has been going for numerous years, continues to attract U11 to senior athletes from across Wales and the South West of England.

Keep these dates free in your diaries!
