There was another great turnout at this year's Carmarthenshire Primary Schools Cross Country Champs, held at the annual venue, the United Counties Showground, with just over a 1000 finishers between the eight races.

The Admiral Swansea Bay 10K and Junior Races has become one of the UK’s premier road races with a flat, fast and scenic route alongside the magnificent views of Swansea Bay. This year's Annual Dinner/Awards Evening will be held on Friday Evening, November 7th 2014 at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel, Spilman Street, Carmarthen starting at 7.30pm. We ask all the members and friends of the Club to make every effort to attend, as it is the only event in the year when we can all meet to celebrate the successes of the club and its members during the year.

West Wales again won the overall team championship, winning by over 200 points from the South Region. 1 West Wales 1086; 2 South Wales 864; 3 East Wales 720; 4 North Wales 405

West Wales also added the Male and Female trophies, along with new awards for this year - combined U15 B/G Trophy, combined U17 M/W Trophy and combined U20/Snr M/W Trophy.

Taking place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cardiff on Saturday November 15th, The 2014 Welsh Athletics Awards programme will see many volunteers from across the country recognised for their contributions in supporting the development of the sport.

Awards categories will recognise the work of clubs, volunteers, officials and coaches. Award categories include; Track & Field Club of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Performance / Development Coach Track&Field / Off Track, Athlete of the Year and Track and Field Official of the Year.

Monday August 18th - Saturday August 23rd, Swansea hosted IPC European Championships, the first time the event has been held in Great Britain. Around 560 of the best athletes from 37 countries compete at the biggest para-sport event ever to be held in Wales. There were a number of Commonwealth Games Athletes in action and a number of world records were broken.

Carmarthen Harriers finished third at this year's Gerald Codd Trophy Match at Haverfordwest and fifth overall at the Junior League Cup Final at Newport.

The fourth and final league match of the Louise Arthur League this season was completed at Brecon on the 12th of July. This year, things had been altered where all nine clubs were competing in one division instead of two, as done in previous years, and it made for better competition. Carmarthen have qualified for the end of season Cup Final with the best 4th place team.

Carmarthen Harriers Training - Tuesday and Thursday 6pm - 8pm at the Carmarthen Leisure Centre Athletics Track, Johnstown

All athletes must be 9 years old to be able to train and compete with us

The club take part in Track and Field, Cross Country, and Road/Mountain Running events
